Alexander Kuznetsov Prize for Theoretical Electrochemistry SUBMISSION OF AWARD NOMINATION: All correspondence, whether by mail or email and including that for awards joint between ISE and other societies, should be sent to the ISE Office. Unsuccessful candidates can be re-nominated in subsequent years.
Rules for the Alexander Kuznetsov Prize for Theoretical Electrochemistry
The Kuznetsov Prize is awarded every two years to a living individual who has made groundbreaking contribution to the theory of electrochemical phenomena, including theory of charge transfer at interfaces and conductive media, structure and dynamics of electrified interfaces at molecular level, and related phenomena.
The Kuznetsov Prize is supported by ISE Division 7 Physical Electrochemistry in homage to Professor Alexander Mikhailovich Kuznetsov (1938-2009).
The prize consists of a bronze medal, a certificate, and the sum of 1000 Euro.
Nominations can be made by individuals or institutions. Candidates may not nominate themselves. The nominees must be ISE members.
The nomination should consist of no more than 1000 words giving details of the relevant contribution of the individual, with a list of her/his most important original publications justifying the nomination (10 at most). In addition, it should include no more than five letters supporting the nomination. Nominations should be uploaded via the Submission Site (http://awards.ise-online.org/kuz/). All documents uploaded must be in PDF format.
The winner is expected to give an award lecture at the ISE Annual Meeting at which the award is presented. ISE will pay for his/her registration and banquet fees. Generally, the award will be presented in the year following the one in which it is attributed. Exceptionally, the first Kuznetsov Prize will be awarded and presented in the same year (2010).
The prize winner is selected by a committee chaired by the chairperson of Division 7 "Physical Electrochemistry" and comprising two other members. These members must be distinguished scientists active in the field of Theoretical Electrochemistry and are nominated by the officers of Division 7 "Physical Electrochemistry". Re-appointment for successive competitions for the Prize is possible.
